Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Patrons rave about the fantastic selection of beers and wines available, making The Elephant a prime destination for those looking to unwind with a drink after a long day.

The food consistently receives praise for its quality, with standout dishes like the Blue Burger and the classic Fish and Chips taking the spotlight. The generous portion sizes and reasonable pricing frequently impress diners.

Many visitors highlight the warm and friendly service that enhances the overall experience, creating an environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. The atmosphere is just right, making it a great place to relax whether alone or with friends.

The accessibility features, including wheel-chair friendly entrances and pet-friendly areas, ensure that everyone in the community can enjoy a meal here. Overall, The Elephant's commitment to quality food and service resonates well with its patrons.

Most Disliked

Some diners mention that certain dishes, like the onion rings, could be improved; specifically, they prefer a crunchier texture instead of greasiness. While most dishes shine, this small detail sometimes detracts from the overall experience.

A few customers point out that while the menu has great options, they would like to see more variety or seasonal dishes added, particularly for those with specific dietary needs outside of the current vegan/vegetarian offerings.

During peak hours, the service can occasionally slow down, especially on busy quiz nights, leading to longer wait times. However, the staff's friendliness usually makes up for any minor inconveniences.

Excellent food and friendly service. Recommend Blue Burger (photo) and Chicken Burger🍔 and starter sharer dish (photo). I can imagine other items on the menu will be delicious. Good bar with plenty of variety.

A really good pub food 👌 service was amazing and the halloumi and chips were the best I've had for a while. Onion rings I would prefer to be less greasy more Crunchy but otherwise superb.

Wow, is all we can say. The food was delicious, the burgers we had were amazing. The chips were cooked to perfection. My daughter had fish and chips, she loved it. The portion of onion rings we had was large and tasty. The staff were welcoming and helpful .We will definitely be visiting again. I can't recommend the black and blue burger or the fish and chips as there not in the selection to recommend, it we would definitely recommend them.

Lovely food, selection of pub classics all with a little extra twist and a few upmarket pub options. For our table of four all had great food, cooked and presented to perfection at a good price, selection of cask ales too. Friendly efficient service at the bar and to the table.
